The Federation

The Fédération des éleveurs de grands gibiers du Québec (FEGGQ / In English, you can say Quebec Federation of large game producers) was created in November 2003. Four unions affiliated to FEGGQ :

• Quebec Red Deer Association
• Quebec Association of Wapitis breeders
• Association of Wild Boar breeders of Quebec
• Quebec Bison Union

On a voluntary system, theses producers are members FEGGQ. In 2006, the FEGGQ had 105 members.

The FEGGQ affiliated with the Union des producteurs agricoles  (UPA) since March 2004.

The FEGGQ to be on :

• UPA’s General Council
• Table filière grands gibiers
• Comité grands gibiers domestiques of Centre de référence en agriculture et agroalimentaire du Québec

Then, the FEGGQ can give the opinion of these producers in the discussion and reflections for developing agriculture in Quebec.

Our  mission

• An organisation to represent all large game producers, member or not
  Defend the interest of all the producers.
• Work to plan our marketing and to development the sector.
• To be able to go see government and other intervening party in our production, the benefit position for the producers.

The reasons to have a FEGGQ:

The FEGGQ :

• Works to have a right and profitable remuneration for all large game producers who market there product.
• Is a place where to reunited and exchange for all producers.
• Is a recognize and credible spokesman for all the developing issue of the sector.
• Works on increasing credibility of the certification of Grands gibiers du Québec certifiésTM  to have better pricing for the farm product.
